Color-Changing E-Paper Can Bring More Imagination to Product Innovation

Following BMW’s introduction of a color-changing concept car, color-changing e-paper is being applied to more products to enhance innovation and imagination. Kitchen and bathroom brand Kohler has chosen to use it on toilets, while Xiaomi has developed a color-changing version for its newly released CyberDog 2. Although these are still just concept demonstrations, they highlight the future potential of color-changing e-paper.

Lee Cheng-hao, Chairman of E-Ink Holdings, stated that the company has received positive market feedback. With its current production capacity, E Ink can support the existing applications of color-changing e-paper, and the timing for scaling up production will depend on customer demand.

For E-Ink, producing color-changing e-paper is not the challenge. The key to attracting more industries to adopt the technology lies in collaborating with supply chain partners, building an ecosystem, and providing customized services to help clients develop innovative products.
